"And you're not alone, I promised Georgia I'd stay with you."
Celia nodded, though she felt incredibly hurt. When she said for Georgia not to leave her alone, she meant for Georgia not to leave her alone. Not to hand her off to someone. "Thank you for staying with me, Sir," she said.
"You seem to be perfectly fine to me, but I'm afraid I never did get my medical license, so you're going to have to hang around and wait for Commander Ericson to sign you off good as new."
"I don't feel fine," she said as she sat up, swinging her legs over the side of the bed and wrapping the blanket around her upper body, "I feel like a noodle... warm, damp and limp." At his honest, hopeful smile, she smiled back. Though he was her boss, he seemed kind. Not many in the lab would take the time to do what he was doing. Hunter wouldn't... unless that person was Georgia.
"I hope the plant I brought into your lab hasn't taken over by now," she said. "I'd hate to think the techs chopped it up... it's fast growth was responsible for us finding this mess." Her eyes suddenly widened, "Sir... if it affected my plants, and the humans in its path..." She hopped off of the bed and ran to a console, dragging Tim by the sleeve. As she accessed the lab computers, the frown on her face became deeper, "it's going to cause everything to replicate rapidly... even normal bacteria. Anything..." she looked up at him with fear in her eyes, "anything biologic, like the bio-neural gel packs!"
