Julian watched as various crew departed from the bridge, headed, he supposed, for the cargo bay or to replace crew who themselves were headed down there. It must be quite a sight to see, he thought; all of those people re-materialised at once. All of those sick, injured people... Julian was for a moment glad he wasn't part of that team.
"Nolfians have rematerialized."
"Thank you," he replied. "Osbourne to Ericson, keep me apprised of the situation in the cargo bay as it unfolds please. Osbourne out."
He looked around him. The red lights were still blaring, along with the noise of the sirens, and Julian wondered whether any of them really needed the extra headache anymore. After all, the immediate threat of battle had passed, hadn't it?
"Scan for any evidence of any more ships in the vicinity," he said, to Kinin. "If we're in no immediate danger you can step us back down to yellow alert. I daresay certain departments will be glad to have their staff relieved from damage control stations." Wasn't that the truth. Maybe some of the first-aid trained would report to sickbay; that was the doctor's call though, not Julian's. He wouldn't presume to tell the man how to run his sickbay. Not when he was the one in charge of any needles and other pointy objects that might come his way in the future.
Now that they'd hopefully pulled these Nolfians back from the edge of whatever demise they had just avoided, Julian knew he had to start thinking about the next step. He settled back into his chair and pulled up a dialogue box on his console. Tapping at the screen he sent a quick message to Commander Graeme, asking him to compile a first contact team to include Lieutenant Griffon and dispatch them to sickbay as soon as possible. It would then be up to Sig to decide when it was appropriate for them to speak to any of the Nolfians.
