"We could get one of your people, someone with a nice face,"
Etaera raised an eyebrow at that, fully understanding what he was insinuating from the looks that he was shooting at Seia. She said nothing though, as she trusted that the other woman would be capable of handling herself. She wasn't some young, impressionable Ensign who was liable to fall head over heels with the first man who showed her any attention.
"Maybe the Residence Manager has some ideas about educating the tenants,"
"That's a great idea," Etaera responded. Civilians would respond better to someone they were familiar with, and who wasn't a Starfleet officer. "I think the message would have more weight if it came from someone that they knew, and who wasn't just another officer in a uniform."
"I'll have a talk with Elly. I'm sure she's just dying to be given another task."
Etaera didn't miss the note of sarcasm, but a new station meant a lot of work for everyone involved. That was something that was inescapable, and hopefully a bit extra prep work would save them a lot of trouble with the civilians going forward.
"That Thalev loves his phaser."
Etaera sighed. It looked like Elly wasn't the only one who would be dismayed to find more work added to her plate. She quickly moved back to Tazer's side, watching as Jonathan made a gesture to the Andorian to lower his weapon. "I really hope that once he gets settled here, he'll stop being so jumpy," Etaera said, shaking her head. The last thing she wanted was someone who drew a phaser at the first sign of trouble. "I don't think that the civilians will respond favorably to someone drawing a phaser on them over a minor transgression." Honestly, she didn't think anyone would. She was going to need to have a conversation with the Andorian, and she suspected that it was going to go poorly. Intelligence Officers always seemed to have an attitude that they didn't have to listen to people just because that had more pips.
