Fortunately, there didn't seem to be very many patients who were as bad off as Lieutenant Commander M'Khol and Lieutenant Star. For the most part, it seemed like most of the crew had accepted their confinement more or less compacently. Adrian understood why the Klingon fought back, and he was suddenly glad that his sort of actions seemed to be more or less uncommon.
The myriad broken bones that were ending up in Sickbay looked much worse than they really were, and Adrian settled into a nice grove of "greet patient, scan with tricorder, provide analgesics, repair with osteoregenerator, send patient on their way." Williams had checked with him at some point and had told him that he didn't have the time to supervise what Adrian was doing, and to try to take some of the easier cases. Under other circumstances, Adrian would have been offended by this statement, but he knew exactly what Williams was thinking. It had been years since Adrian had performed the day to day duties of a doctor, and not since he'd been aboard the Talon. He knew that there were those who would view his change of career path as Adrian not being able to cut it as a "real doctor," and to be honest, there had been times when Adrian had felt that way about himself.
In between patients he managed to keep an eye on what was going on, noting Lieutenant Commander Vaatrick requesting to see Morgan in private. He was of course no stranger to the rumors surrounding the pair, and he wondered just what their discussion was about. Ship scuttlebutt suggested that Morgan was upset with Renh for disappearing on her as of recent, and Morgan's addressing him by his surname seemed to confirm that rumor.
He didn't have too much time to consider it though as the Ferengi patients began to file into the room. They seemed a bit worse off than their Starfleet counterparts. They had obviously been performing hard labor for some time, as was evidenced by their dirty garments, and the foul odor of stale sweat that surrounded them. Many of them had older wounds, that had poorly healed, and Adrian left those to the more experienced staff.
A Ferengi was beamed in from the Cargo Bay, and Adrian could immediately see why. Even without the aid of a tricorder, it was clear that he had been beaten to within an inch of his life. Since he was closest, Adrian put the Ferengi in stasis before pulling up the chart that had been sent up with him
