About an hour after Georgia had left his quarters, Adrian arrived at the Counselor’s offices, looking bright eyed and bushy tailed... so long as no one looked too closely. He clutched his coffee mug with something approaching a death grip. “When’s my first appointment?” He asked the Yeoman who was running the reception area.
“Should be here any minute, sir,” the Yeoman responded.
“Thank you.” Adrian disappeared into his office. It was still a bit messy from his recent transfer, and he spent a moment or two straightening it before settling down into his chair. He hadn’t even gotten comfortable when the chime rang from the reception area. His first patient had arrived. He sighed. He hadn’t even had a chance to read over the data that had been sent over regarding his first appointment. He hated playing things by ear, and not knowing what to expect of people, but he didn’t really have an option in this instance.
With a sigh, he scrubbed his face. “Enter,” he said, as he pulled up the file for his first patient. His eyes widened as he saw the name at the top of the profile. Crap, he thought to himself. But he managed to get the apprehensive look off of his face before the doors whisked open.
“Fancy meeting you here,” he said, hoping his tone didn’t sound as nervous as he felt. This was the last time that he ever started a day without checking out who was on his list of patients.
