The unfolding events were fascinating, to say the least. Alyssa had to take in much stimuli in a matter of moments, and she tried to her best to keep up with it. From her superior's unorthodox tactics, to the sudden appearance of the Bachol, things were changing quickly, and she wanted to make sure her attention was fully focused and her mind prepared for what came next.
One thing was for certain. Alyssa couldn't help but admire her superiors. She witnessed some Captain's become so squeamish to conflict with species that, by her opinion, they put their ship and crew through unnecessary risk. Of course, she'd never say that. She'd get chastised for speaking about things she knows little about. Still, as a security officer, she had a firm belief in engaging others with whatever necessary force to protect their ship, their crew, and their home.
Shortly after the Bachol ship backed off, Lt. Gavaskar arrived with more Bachol. She gave him an acknowledging nod as he led them to their cells.
“New prisoners delivered as directed by the bridge, Lieutenant. They haven’t caused any trouble.”
Alyssa looked from the newcomers before returning her attention to Gav. "That's good to hear. Thank you, Lieutenant." She hoped they weren't going to get any more of them. They were running out of cells, and having an unusually large number of an alien species that still posed a threat was unsettling. If their plan were more insidious than they let own, these "prisoners" could quickly turn into a well-placed boarding party.
Such thoughts were not to her liking.
“What’s going on?”
Alyssa returned her thoughts to Gav and the situation on hand. "The Captain and Lieutenant have been interrogating those two," Alyssa responded with a lowered voice. She nodded over to Choth and Whull. "They call themselves 'Bachol.' He just warned of their friends outside. Their leader, Phot, wants to meet with the captain."
She hoped her retelling was succinct, but accurate enough for his liking. She didn't want to spend too much time with her attention split. Situations like these had nasty habit of turning foul in the blink of an eye.
