"Aye, I'm worried that they'll start talking politics next."
B'ran chuckled a bit at the comment. He thought of it a moment and shrugged. "Perhaps that's what happens in the event of a stalemate," he offered. Of course, only time would tell. Though, B'ran wasn't so sure if that would be the outcome that they would reach. His eyes examined Cliff's side of the board. He seemed quite intent on securing the safety of his King piece. In fact, the entire front line still remained in tact. B'ran couldn't say the same for his own side. Of course, he was looking to force Cliff to make some sort of move. An offensive one, or a defensive one.
"Queen-Rook's pawn," he called out. The small piece came to attention. "Advance one space."
He paused to watch. His intention was obvious, though perhaps the principle of the game was lost on him. B'ran was attempting to provoke conflict. Both of his pawns stood on either side of his bishop... the Wosley-piece. And either could strike on the next move. It was simply a matter of whether Cliff would go on the defensive, or make a strategic retreat.
Satisfied with his move for the time being, B'ran sat back in his chair. "So," he began, "besides being the man that maintains the sanity of this crew, is there anything else I should know about you, Cliff?" He offered the man a smile. In his opinion, it was Cliff that maintained the sanity of the crew. His job, along with that of his superior's was simply to notice and point out those that had lost their sanity. After all, it was usually to someone like Cliff that they were sent to, in order to find it once more.
