Grace's screams was not the reason for his laughter. He had jumped in front of a male Breatach one time when he thought he was going to hit her. It wasn't even the exploding body and its putrid jelly inside the containment field that brought on his laughing fit. He had felt as repulsed by it as the others. It was Darby's forensic remark but he could not for the life of him understand why it had seemed so funny. Clearly there was no humor anywhere in the situation.
"Let's get it back up to the ship. Talk to Sig, let him know what's happened, who this is, and all that. He'll know what to do. Meanwhile, we need to see if we can find anything around here that might offer us a clue." Commander Griffon answered his question as to what to do.
"Oh, and Mr. Diego, see if you can control your laughter. I'd hate to see you drop the body, add to the damage. The poor guy has been through enough, wouldn't you agree?"
Now Luis really felt like an idiot, a bigger one than he had felt like before, and he had felt like one many times in the past.
"But I ... I ... I didn't mean ... that is ... I ...," he tried to answer the Commander but the more he spoke the worse he sounded so instead he humbly lowering his eyes to the ground and answered softly, "Yes sir. Sorry sir. It won't happen again, sir."
"S-so we're to ret-turn to the sh-ship, sir?" Grace seemed to be stumbling over her words which drew his attention, a puzzled look on his face.
"Ensign, are you alright?" Luis asked Grace. Looking at her closely and he wondered if she was about to pass out or be sick. "Maybe you should sit down a moment, Grace," he reached out for her, afraid she was going to fall over.
