At this precise moment none of us knows. My last memory was heading for the infirmary to get coffee and then I wake up here, as did all the others, We’ve all tried to call the Talon but nothing.
Miriana furrowed her eyebrows in thought as she tried to piece together what had happened. Her last memory was of thinking that she should double check the water reclamation hardware and let it run its filters on the water since there wasn’t any contamination in it, but a general filter and such would do the water and the facility some good. The woman shook her head and ran her hand through her hair gently as she turned her gray gaze around to look at the others. They were all in one piece and that was what really mattered. Though her gaze did land on the odd assortment of things that the Commander had out and she couldn’t help but cringe when she realized what the holster was, knowing full well that it wasn’t an old phaser.
”I think we can all remove our EVA suits, If this is a mechanical construct, there may be electromagnetic frequencies. If anyone gets an odd feeling, your hair gets more static-charged, anything other than how you feel now, don’t hide it.”
Miriana looked towards the Hunter fellow and nodded, the EVA suits were useless now. Especially due to the fact that they were almost out of air anyway. Other than the horrid smell, the air here was just fine. So without further thought, Mira smiled over at Luis and then stood, stretching a bit. At least the nap felt good for however long it had lasted. The engineer undid the suit as she listened to what Luis said about everything and before too long she had her suit down at her boots and was once again standing in her Engineering uniform. If anything this felt good to feel that bulky thing off but she would have much rather been back aboard the ship.
Though Miriana glanced up to see Grace tie her suit around her waist and smiled a tad bit. At least if they kept the suits they could later be used for materials or blankets if the need arised for shelter of some sorts. So the engineer followed the doctors idea and tied her’s around her waist. After the suit was wrapped around her in some way she patted the small bag on her hip that had a small bag of random tools. But with a sigh she doubted any of them would work. Yes she had a energy cutter and a few other odd tools but all used technology, except for a somewhat ancient looking screwdriver her father had. The best she probably had inside there now was a few odds and ends that could possibly be used as throwing objects of distraction. I don’t want to have to throw my tools…I’m not a gorilla but if the need arises I’ll channel into my inner monkey. She thought sadly as she glanced up to see the Commander pull out another gadget.
There is some sort of electromagnetic field here, but it’s all over the place. Can’t pinpoint a source.
Miriana frowned and knelt down, running her hand through the gray dirt and lifted some up. It didn’t look like any of the pieces in her hand were magnetic or something that could screw up a compass, but then again it all looked different shades of a dull grey. “My guess either the electromagnetic field is coming from the atmosphere of this place or maybe it could be a structure that we were teleported too somehow.” Miriana stopped talking and thought, before she continued to think aloud she wanted to get her thoughts straight first and maybe take a few clues from what they found as they walked.
When everyone’s ready, we’ll follow this path and see where it leads.”
Miriana nodded and made sure her tricorder, phaser, and bag were in place. Even though none of it worked at the moment she didn’t want to loose it that was for sure. “I’m ready sir.” The woman said and then turned back to look at the others. Georgia was still in her suit and the Hunter fellow was doing something, but she turned her gaze to Grace and Luis.
When we can make a fire I wonder if it will be gray, too.
Miriana chuckled lightly and then couldn’t help but cover her mouth when Hunter chimmed in about the chemicals, which told Mira immediately that he was a scientist without a doubt. She stifled her laughs and took a deep breath, first day and already she was giggling on the job. “If it is I wouldn’t be surprised if we started to lose our color. But if anything else, I want to know why the technology isn’t working. Were we transported somewhere that has the technology to cancel out other tech? Or is it natural to this environment? Or is this some sort of illusion? If it wasn’t for the fact that the Q back there seemed to know many of those on the Talon I would be debating if this was something to do with him.” She said with a shrug and turned her gaze to Georgia at the sight of her…dress? Miriana raised an eyebrow at the woman and tilted her head a bit with a friendly smile, but inwardly she was wondering how she had walked on those heels this whole time. Ow…
When they started walking, Miriana followed and kept her gaze open for any clues to the odd issue that was facing them. Where in the stars were they? Where they the only ones who went missing? Or was the whole planet put in this place. But her thoughts were interupted when suddenly Hunter tripped and fell. Miriana quickly dodged to the side, almost bumping into Grace but thankfully she didn't. With a smile she glanced at the man and smiled, trying so hard not to say something.
