“Hypotheticals, Lieutenant, we are out, and that is what matters today."
He debated recreating the situation to the best of his knowledge in the holodeck, and see if there was something that he missed... but she was right. There was no point in it, especially since he had absolutely no plans whatsoever to find himself in such a situation again. The most concerned he was, however, was her reaction to his obvious reference to Tahp.
“Start with hello, and move on from there.”
It was blunt, it was honest, and it wasn't exactly helpful, but her simple statement told Tek that at she held nothing against the Bajoran when it came to his actions with Tahp. She certainly wasn't telling him to stay away from her, and not threatening him. Still... the only people on this ship who could honestly help him were the medical professionals on board... and Tahp herself.
"Physically, I have no reason to suggest that you are not prepared to be returned to active duty however we both know that is only the half of it. If you have not already scheduled an appointment with the counseling staff I would be happy to do it for you, otherwise, you are free to go. If you begin to feel unwell or have trouble sleeping then you know where to find us. Have a nice day, Lieutenant."
He guess that was it, the good doctor letting the security officer know that she had no obligation to remain in Sickbay. That.. and it turned out that the doctor was a little peeved that Tek had been moving around. To be honest, he didn't even think about it, moving was natural, and he had forgotten the poor nurse was trying to test him.
"As for you Lieutenant, we are going to have to retake your test so please lie still and look straight up. It should not take longer than a few minutes."
"Yes, sir. Sorry, sir." Tek said, returning to a lying position with his face pointed straight up to the ceiling.
As he allowed the doctor to run his tests on his head, Tek stared up, but acknowledged Alyssa as being still in the room.
"Lieutenant... thanks."
