Physical Profile 5’11, 175 lbs, Blonde, Blue, and some assorted scars on his chest, abdominals, and a very small, almost unnoticeable scar on his left jaw.
Personality: Ted is nothing if he is not outgoing, however, this wasn’t always the case. Ted’s completive drive only first came to be when he applied to the Academy. As this drive began to progress as did a lack of humility around his peers, however, he very rarely lets his cocky attitude be shown to anyone who outranks him. Aside from his cocky attitude he is a friendly person and typically charismatic if you can get past his competitive attitude and his thick Western Pennsylvania accent. Tradition is very important to him and he holds a fascination about Earth history especially pre-federation, if he’s in the holodeck he is likely living it up in the 21st century or seeing what life was like serving under Captain Archer on the first enterprise. Ted also harbors a few weaknesses the first being a lack of conveying negative emotions. Much like his father, it is clear that Ted bottles up his feeling and uses humor and a snarky attitude as a coping mechanism. Additionally, as a result of his cocky Ted tends to overestimate himself and a result does not always take his duties seriously when he really should. Ted also suffers a great amount of survival guilt after many of his friends died aboard his last ship after it was destroyed in the Lastly, as Ted grew up in a rural area he often feels out of place when encountering other cultures, while he doesn’t view them as any lesser than his own he often finds it difficult to adapt or understand other species cultures.
Background and History:
Ted grew up in rural Pennsylvania where he lived in a conservative household. Ted came from a long line of spacefarers and if you trace his family history back far enough you can even find many of his ancestors were members of 20th-century seagoing services. Both his parents were part of Starfleet his Father a security officer and his mother a nurse. His Father had fought in the Dominion War, however, following the end of the war Ted’s father retired and returned to his home of Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania where he married his childhood friend. Years later Ted was born as the second of what would eventually be three brothers. Ted’s father never cared much for modern life and while Ted’s family was given a modern education he grew up in a household that lived very rarely used replicators.
Ted would actually go on to attend the Starfleet Academy at 18, he was an average student academically but stood out when it came to extra circulars. His first assignment would be on the USS Sherman. There he would become a security officer and while he managed to excel at his new posting his cocky attitude often got in over his head resulting in him being passed up for promotion a couple of times. Ted would serve aboard the Sherman for four years, and then the war came. Ted served admirably throughout the war, but eventually, his vessel would fall prey to the Klingon advance. Ted would help evacuate the ship but eventually was forced to evacuate leaving many of his friends to die. Now Ted has been re-assigned to the USS. Talon and looks forward to a fresh start.
Name of Celebrity: Graham Rogers
Sample Roleplay: Ted stood between two crewmen using his full wingspan to separate the two. On one end there was a Zaldans and on the other a Human. While the situation wasn’t completely clear, what was clear was that the Zaldan was deeply offended. Ted glanced over to his new partner who was clearly also trying to make sense of the situation.
“He’s crazy, I didn’t do anything but try to get to know him and next thing you know he bugging out,” exclaimed the Human crewman.
“I never asked you to patronize me,” the Zaldan crewmen retorted.
Ted glanced back at his partner who seemed to have a better understanding of the situation.
“The Zaldan view courtesy as an insult,” explained Ted’s partner who clearly read Ted’s confused expression.
Ted nodded “Alright yinz guys calm down,” he said in his strong Pittsburgh accent. Tensions began to mount, however, and the human crewman decided to attempt to push Ted out of the way. Ted quickly rebounded off the nearby bulkhead and intercepted the crewmen’s clumsy punch. The Human crewmen proceeded to try and stomp on Ted’s boot, however Ted quickly swept the Human crewmen’s leg forcing him to the ground a cuffing him, Ted looked over to see his partner to the same to the Zaldan.
Ted looked at his partner, ‘So do you wanna book ‘em or should I?”
