Character's Name: Celia Regan
Age: 29
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Birthplace: Bosque del Apache, New Mexico
Preferred rank: Lieutenant
Department: Science: Botany and Animal Sciences
Ship: USS Peregrin
Physical Profile: 5'7, Green eyes, short blonde hair. Celia is strong from working/lifting/dealing with animals and heavy soil, though she is not overly muscular. She tends to wear tank tops and jeans most of off duty, and sturdy waterproof overalls and boots over her uniform while on duty.
Personality: Celia is quick to laugh, loves life, and isn't afraid of a challenge. Having spent much of her time with animals, she still isn't well-versed in human-human interaction.
Background and History:
Celia began her love for animals after a chance encounter with a chipmunk as a young child while she was lost in the woods. Her desire to learn grew stronger as she got older and she applied to Starfleet Academy as soon as she passed the minimum age limit.
She quickly became an authority on the impact of planetary pollution and was eventually chosen for the position on a ship sent to a fringe planet where the population had almost destroyed their world with their wasteful ways.
After years working with the aliens, Starfleet recalled Celia and sent her to work on a ship of exploration, the USS Peregrin. She had no family left and had never devoted any time to more romantic pursuits, so it was easy to pick up and join the crew, finding a renewed sense of wonder as she walked the halls for the first time. It had been quite some time since she felt that tingle of anticipation for new discovery, and she was looking forward to getting started.
Name of Celebrity: Optional Renee O'Conner

Sample Roleplay:
"No, no," Celia shouted, "over there!" She pointed at a row of large pods along the far side of the cargo bay. She had borrowed an ensign from the physics department and he was becoming more of a hindrance than a help. Celia was really grumpy. The explosion had caused many of the plants to be damaged and the animals under her care were distressed. Granted, most of the animals were only on the vessel as part of various humane experiments, but Celia thought of them as hers.
"Who's idea was this, anyway," she complained, "we just went through the wormhole. Can't they just repair us out here?" The Ensign in charge walked up to her, having overheard, "I think you need to relax," he said, laughing and giving her a smile, "everything is going to be fine." She looked him up and down, noting the stiffness of his clothing, how crisp it was, and she doubted he ever got his hands dirty, "if anything goes wrong," she said, poking her finger into his arm, "I'm holding you personally responsible."
She heard a sound and turned quickly, just in time to see a branch fall, broken, from a large tree. "Ah come on," she groaned, "it was about to bear fruit." She sighed and picked up the branch, touching the wood lightly with her finger and cringing at the greenness of the flesh that had been exposed.
