Yaxley arrived back at his quarters after Sig and Scott had dismissed him. He felt a little victimized but not to the extent that he would show the emotion outwardly. He had learned from the Vulcans that emotion was irrelevant. Though he could not agree completely; their logic was sound. It made alot of sense. Yaxley allowed the door to his quarters swish open and he entered. The room was practically bare apart from the religious symbol that hung from the wall beside his door. He would keep it that way for a while. He would not decorate the place until he was able to call the ship his home. A home needed family. He had yet to find anyone who he could understand in a.. purely... academic way. The only man to come close; was the ship's counselor. The man seemed to respect Yaxley and for that, he was grateful.
Yaxley was a man of age and he believed he was the eldest on board. He had learned many facts and figures but hadn't experienced much of the universe. He paused for a moment in thought before moving over to his window and staring out into the mystery of the wormhole - streaming past. He had to admit; it was better than looking out into the void of space. Many went insane doing so. He would have to take the Executive Officer's test soon enough. It irritated him slightly. He felt it was a waste of time. He had administered the test on others once or twice. Perhaps he could simply test himself? Hm, he thought best not. He was sure that the Commanders would not approve. He would have to try harder. The opinions of others really did matter to Yaxley but he didn't show it. At that moment, however, he was more engrossed in his work. Being off-duty when the turbulence of the wormhole could effect the crew was less than logical. He sighed inwardly.
His own company for the time being would be his own. The ship jumped slightly as it left the wormhole.
