Character's Name: Robin Star
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Physical Profile 6”1, Blue eyes, Dark brown hair (usually spiked or stuck up), Light muscular frame with an athletic build.
Birthplace: UK, Earth; raised on Betazed (for a time)
Preferred rank: Lt.JG
Department: Command, Chief Helmsman
Awards and Honors
Personality: Robin is someone who likes to have humour behind his back wherever he goes but he no stranger to the seriousness of space, exploration and danger. When confronted with everyday life he appears as the general kind person most people are, he talks to those he wants to talk (which is most people), he helps those that are in need and tries to comfort those he knows need comforting.
However when Robin is in the formal seat, he plays that part well to the bone with very few slips of tongue and action. Together his personality creates the first impression of being a “good boy” with humour but after getting to know Robin, opinions can change.
Background and History: Born into a family of distinguished Starfleet officers, his father being one (Admiral Star) of them. Robin had been born on Earth but was raised on Betazed, the home planet of his mother who was Betazoid and a medical officer working at Starfleet Medical. Through his mother he learnt some basic mental skills which included empathy but only with great concentration could he succeed.
His other skills merely included ways of how to defend his brain from being probed from similar species and to hide his feelings, a small trait of his which he still tries to master.
Robin felt some pressure during his Academy years but he knew he was already good, his father had taught him a fair bit about Starfleet, the ships of the line, space and the exploration of new people and technology. This was what inspired Robin to continue. With good marks for his extra chosen courses and top marks in flight, he graduated.
When Robin graduated he was assigned to the USS Hood, an Excelsior class starship. After some years after being assigned to the ship a mission to collect some unique plant samples from a planet when disastrously wrong. the ship was attacked by Romulans. Robin’s reckless and quick thinking in the incident allowed some of his fellows to survive…upon returning to Earth Robin was promoted for his efforts and plus to shush him of the truth of what really happened.
After some time back on Earth, Robin was assigned to the USS Crudaigh whilst being there, he became a regular for injuries and a also a long term disability. Robin then became ill along with certain crewmembers that had accompanied him to the planet Ellusia weeks before, whereas the residents had tortured the minds of their Starfleet captives.
After being cured Robin found that he was unable to use any telepathic or empathic abilities. He consulted the doctor and found that it seemed to be a life-time disability.
After a couple of weeks from the day he and his fellow became 'ill' Robin recieved a near-to-order request to transfer to the USS Zek. Originally Robin denied the request but upon his own investigation eventually and relunctantly agreed.
His trip back to Earth was a long ride of switching between various ships and being a mere crewmember on each. 5 months later Robin arrived on Earth and after a week of long arrangments step foot onto the USS Zek.
Months passed and simple missions flew by with each one. When Robin received word of a newly commissioned ship, the Peregrin which was close to departing DS9 in days, he requested to fly a shuttle to the station (the ship was fairly nearby whilst investigating a nebula). One of the Zek's junior pilots offered to take Robin to the station and bring back the shuttle and thus began his short amount of hours journey to Deep Space Nine.

Sample Roleplay:
“We’re approaching the station, Sir.” Came the voice of a young female ensign. The young woman turned her head to peer over her shoulder at the man he was bringing to the station. “Sir?” She asked again, the man hadn’t answered her. The man’s strong blue orbs gazed out of the window until finally after a third attempt, the woman’s voice came through.
Robin shook his head and cleared his throat. “Sorry Ensign, got a little distracted.” He told her with a small smile as he stood from his seat and approached the conn seat of the shuttle and placed a hand on the top of the chair. The ensign smiled back and returned her focus on the controls.
Robin didn’t need the ensign to tell her what she said, it was rather clear and it almost filled the canopy window of the shuttle. Deep Space Nine, the legendary station that cradled his new ship within its docking embrace.
After some minutes the shuttle had docked in one of the smaller ports. Grabbing his bag Robin stopped at the door of the shuttle and turned his head.
“See ya around Jenny.”
With that, Robin left the shuttle to enter the station which he would soon be exiting for entering the USS Peregrin.
