Birthplace: Lannavaara, Sweden, Earth
Preferred rank: Lieutenant, [Third Shift Doctor]

Personality: A night owl, Millie has an active, restless nature that demands action. Her mind is in constant motion and so she has a tendency to talk to herself often without even realizing it. Mille is confident and passionate about her work. She loves to read, and enjoys music. When it comes to her personal life, she can be very naïve and insecure.
Background and History: Millie was born the third of four children to an arty Swedish couple. Her parent’s love of all things creative consumed their everyday lives. She learned to play the cello, took dance and performed in various productions growing up. Millie had a secret zeal for science and medicine. She dreamed of one day becoming a doctor. It was her parents hope that Millie would attend the Pennington School and study music. They were surprised when Millie expressed her wish to attend Starfleet Academy. Once they sat down to discuss Millie’s choice, they came to the realization that their daughter had passions of her own. They had raised her to think for herself and were proud that she had come to this decision thoughtfully.
It was difficult to be away from her family. It had always been a comfort to be surrounded by their flamboyant exuberance and abundant affection. At the academy she had to stand on her own two feet. Millie focused on her studies. In her spare time she would play her cello, do pilates and read extensively.
After graduation Millie was assigned to the medical team aboard Deep Space Nine where she excelled in her work and was promoted to Lieutenant. The large space station allowed Millie to maintain a degree of anonymity while she was out of her comfort zone. While bedside manner has come easy for Millie, she has continued to have difficulty developing personal relationships outside of the work environment.
Millie is confident in her abilities as a medical officer and looks forward to her first starship appointment, but she is dreading any potential social faux pax.

Sample Roleplay:
“What the hell were you thinking? Seriously Millie, get a grip.” Millie said as she ran her fingers through her hair. Trying to maintain her composure, Millie briskly walked out of the mess hall doing her best to avoid colliding with the couple coming inside. She made a mad dash toward sick bay. Her heart was pounding in her chest.
“Buns!?” she said. “You couldn’t have used the word bread. Or roll... Oh, no. You had to say buns.” Shaking her head she walked into sick bay and immediately began a review of the latest medical log entry. “Just focus.”
“Yes, Lieutenant,” said the Ensign as she walked passed, a deep frown appearing on her face.
Millie sighed. ‘Talking to yourself again,’ she thought. As she turned to explain her comment to the Ensign the door whooshed open. Standing on the other side was the handsome Lieutenant from the mess hall. He had a smirk on his face and a dinner roll in the palm of his hand.
“Still hungry?” he said.
