The child of a diplomat (father) and a trader (mother), Morgan was exposed early to many different religions, races, and ways of life. Her family traveled extensively and Morgan became well adjusted to life away from home. As she grew into adulthood, she discovered that her easy going demeanor and her compassion for all lifeforms, allowed strangers to feel at ease around her and she found they would tell her things they would never tell anyone else. She decided to make a career out of her natural skills and enjoyed the learning process at Starfleet Academy, which pushed her to discover new facets about her own character and how to bring out the best in others. After the Academy, she went on to serve as assistant counselor on two vessels, rising through the ranks over the years, then was promoted to full counselor on her third vessel. The horrific slaughter of a Federation colony sent her planetside for a year as she helped the survivors return to a normal life. When she returned, she was placed on her fourth ship on a two year mission. With its return, she found a transfer to the Peregrin waiting for her.

Sample Roleplay:
"Tell me how that makes you feel," Lieutenant Baxter spit back at her.
Things were not going well. The man had been sent to her with a sudden inability to get along with others. His work record had been stellar, so his actions were a mystery to the Captain. "Find out what's making him tick or I'm going to have to send him packing," were his official words.
Morgan tilted her head slightly at Baxter, not taking the bait. After a few moments in silence, he folded his arms across his chest. Definitely not going well. "Lieutenant," she said, softly, "why do--"
He stopped her with his hand, held up in the air. "Spare me," he said, "you guys are all the same. "Tell me how that makes you feel," he repeated, though she had never said those trite words. "You don't care how I feel. You only care that you send me back to the Captain healed. Well, let me tell you this, Counselor, I'm not going to heal. This ship is nothing but a death trap and the sooner I'm off of it the better. Bet it scares you to death that you'll fail, doesn't it?"
Morgan switched positions in her chair, watching his body language and mulling over his words. Very quietly, she asked, "Sam... are you afraid to die?"
He opened his mouth, blinking rapidly. "How--" Clenching his teeth together, he swallowed several times.
"It's okay," Morgan said, moving over to his side, "tell me."
