It wasn't often she was prone to surrounding herself by simple things such as flowers and leaves and all things exotic. Normally the General was more likely to be found in places such as the gym or in a battle scenario in the holosuites but today had been the first of a stress free, non-work related day off.
Events that had transpired back on Nolfia so close to re-elections had required her input and attention. Given the Senate was still relatively young in Nolfian terms, her opinion had been wanted on pretty much everything since she had been one of the major contributors to the Unification. She had fought and bled through many civil wars to get it into action and her planet united. This had proven to be a good thing since had any one faction met the Dkarans, then their favour would have been turned upside down.
But still, the Senate itself might be young but that didn't go to say that elections didn't have to be done. Kunama had known the vital importance of fresh faces, fresh voices to a palette of known familiars. She smirked as she walked and thought on it, she had learned of a curiously apt human saying that she had picked up in her time as Ambassador for the station.
'Cat amongst the pigeons', if she understood that correctly then Kunama was always in good moral favour of shaking things up a bit. It would also set the stone for the future.
Numerous scents wafted past her nose and she was forever getting distracted, following one scent only to divert and follow another. However, this was all done rather sub-consciously... to a human, it would be conscious thought and much slower but for Nolfians whose strongest of senses lay in their hearing and smell, it was all second nature. She could even tell from decaying humanoid scents that had been identified in the past that were still around.
There was something incredibly unsophisticated and care free about flowers. Their scents were on the large part relaxing and soothing for an active mind, even their shapes and colours had an effect. Being in the gardens made her think of her Andorian friend on Talon though she didn't know if he was still aboard. Kunama certainly hadn't heard from him in a while.
As always though, there were always fresh matters for her attention to be pointed at. Despite being a year and a bit off needing to outside of home tuition, she understood only too well that Konak would have to go to a proper school where he could learn properly, learn discipline and develop his social skills. This also meant that life on the station would soon become impractical. She thought to herself wondering if she could impose on Voren or whether Hokra was considering returning to being a full time Senator again.
There was much to consider as she stopped at flower that looked a little familiar to her. It was splattered in reds and golds in an orchid like shape but it was still quite alien to her.
