While many believe that the internet allows them complete anonymity, the truth of the matter here on the USS Talon site is that if you stay long enough we all become very good friends. It's why this site has continued to exist so long. While there is nothing we can do to stop you from lying through your teeth about yourself, eventually the truth will come out and you will lose all credibility with the rest of the members and the admins.
We do not discriminate here based on age. We have members from 13 years old to over 60 years old.
If you have lied about your age, you can change it by doing the following:
Profile > Edit Profile > Privacy Tab > Change Birthday > Enter birthday > Save
We do not discriminate based on your real life job. We have members who work in retail, are nurses, IT professionals, and all kinds of various careers. Your job does not define you. How you act on the site and in the cbox does.
If you are a returning member, please don't lie about it and pretend you've never been here before. We keep IP addresses. Why lie? We are always willing to give people another chance, and we'll get off on a much better foot if your return visit isn't clouded in a lie.
I have been burned many times by people claiming they are someone they are not, and I can tell you that each and every time, my trust was very hard, most times impossible, to get back. I stood up for someone who was supposedly at death's door, only to find out that he was perfectly fine. After that, any time he claimed he was ill, I found I couldn't believe him.
If you are the sort who likes to lie, who gets kicks out of telling other members you are something uber special, who claims they are at the hospital when they're home playing Super Mario, then, honestly, we don't want you here. It is disruptive and wrong. If you are such a person, then you really need to evaluate what is wrong in your own life where you need that kind of ego stroking by strangers on the internet. Because, if you continue to lie, that's how they will always remain, strangers, never friends. We cultivate friends here on this site. Don't be a jerk.
