Starfleet Record
Tekison Nevir, Lieutenant
Science Officer, Service Number: BR-413-986
Advanced Degrees: Exoplanetary Systems
Meteorology
Geology
Geography
Entered Starfleet Academy in 2398. Graduated with Top Honors in the Sciences in 2402 with degrees in Exoplanetary Systems and Geology. Spent an additional 2 years pursuing higher degrees including Meteorology, Geography, and has a minor degree in Hydrology, Metallurgy, and Warp Physics. Academy Records show Tekison had an exemplary academic record, taking almost double the standard load of courses for his tenure as a Cadet, and continued to do so as an Ensign. On the other hand, Tekison found himself with anger issues on a number of subjects, most concerning interactions with other Cadets and Instructors, but also on the subjects of History and Intergalactic Politics. Academy records show 5 separate disciplinary actions, including a one month suspension off the USS Winsberg due to a disagreement with his immediate supervisor, Commander T’rava.
On regards of post-academy recommendations, Tekison received 8 separate mentions by Academy instructors. Of the 8, 2 recommended extended stay, 3 recommended ship assignments, 2 recommended planet side or station positions, and one suggested Tekison’s removal from Starfleet. Starfleet Academy removed Tekison from available assignments and placed the Ensign on standby with orders to remain stationed within the Academy.
Tekison received his first assignment July 2404, aboard the USS Lancaster under Captain Alvaro for Sol System duties, staying within the local cluster. In January 2405, Tekison was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade on recommendation of Captain Alvaro and Chief Science Officer Marian Covare. Tekison was reported to be involved in an incident in a shuttle above Jupiter. In it, the shuttle lost impulse engines and began sinking into the atmosphere. Tekison’s actions with the engine and using the planet’s gaseous densities to keep the shuttle up and finally get it out of the planet led to recommendation.
Starfleet assigned Tekison to the USS Luna in January 2406, and it was sent out to the Demilitarized Zone between the Federation and Cardassia. Tekison served aboard the vessel as a Junior Grade officer until promotion to full Lieutenant in October of 2406, on recommendation of Captain Paul Zerakian, and Commander Surek. Recommendation cited only as “exemplary work as a science officer”.
Tekison was aboard when the Luna returned to Earth Spacedock in June of 2408, and was an officer during the Klingon attack on Earth. Tekison survived the near destruction of the Luna, and was placed on active leave for the remaining period of 2408. In December of 2408, Tekison was reassigned to the USS Talon, with a mission to explore the Gamma Quadrant. Tekison is presently aboard the USS Talon stationed in the Gamma Quadrant.
