Personality: Auri can be quite personable when she chooses to be. Of course, when that is the case, it is usually in order to attain her own goals, whatever they may be. Of course, she is generally quite blunt and says nearly everything that is on her mind. It's oddly that trait that allows her to be duplicitous when she needs to be, as it appears she rarely hides anything. She interacts as if she has an air of entitlement about her. Though she is quite shrewd, but also a bit insecure. She feels the need to prove herself to others, and especially her father.
Background and History: Auri was the product of frustration and lust between two diplomats. Ambassadors Audrey Gleeson and Nvied Viaen were young members of the diplomatic teams. Talks began in 2365, shortly after Romulans ended their isolation and the Romulans allowed a limited diplomatic excursion to Romulus. They kept the affair quiet for as long as they could, but eventually, it became apparent just how closely they were working together. When the time came for Audrey to leave, it was decided that Aurora would remain with her father, who made arrangements for her care. That seemed to consist of nurses, governesses and eventually boarding school.
While away, Tal'Aura worked twice as hard to make here father proud of her, but also to win the approval of her peers. Many of the boys were often intrigued with the Romulan with such pale hair. Some of the girls grew jealous of the attention she garnered. Still, she persevered through the taunts that came. She developed an affinity for chemistry and biology, eventually working to become a doctor. It seemed an admirable profession, one she assumed both her parents would be proud of. Of course, being the daughter of a pair of diplomats, she found herself unable to escape its pull.
She eventually finished her schooling, and did become a doctor, gifted in Romulan, Reman and human physiology. By day, Auri worked in relief clinics, providing care to misplaced Romulans (even decades after the initial destruction of their homeworld.) By night, however, her father used her uniqueness to garner allies of power and influence. At state dinners, there were those that mistook her to be related to someone else of great influence, a secret Nveid chose to leave to the imagination. This eventually began to lead to his reemergence of relevance in the dwindling political circles.
After years of careful maneuvering, Nveid has found himself a place in the Senate. There are many that still cling to the ways of old while the Romulan Republic is emerging as a grand power. Nveid has gained the ear of many of his fellow senators by suggesting that new allies can be found in the Gamma Quadrant. And with those allies, come new resources that will bring the Romulans back to their former strength. Tasked with no small feat, Nveid spends his time attempting to charm the likes of the Cardassians and gain an audience with the likes of the Theyrs Coalition. Meanwhile, Auri spends most of her time on Sark Nor. While there, she spends her time volunteering in the clinic, but also keeps her father apprised of the goings on of the outpost, and occasionally acting as an Envoy in his stead when needed. Her father may not approve of all of her methods, but he doesn't have to know everything.

Sample Roleplay: He rolled over, nearly breathless as his chest expanded and compressed, her own heartbeat matching its rhythm. A bit of laughter left the Cardassian's lips at his moment of triumph. Meanwhile, a smile spread across her lips as she reveled in the cooling sensation of the station air rushing against her sweat-dampened skin. "I'm going to miss this," the Gul mused.
"Yes," was Auri's only reply, though she quickly seized the opportunity the moment presented. "And speaking of you departure, there is a matter of my shipment...."
The smile on his face quickly soured, and was replaced by a grunt of frustration. "Auri... you know I detest speaking of business in bed!" he spat.
"From what I recall, you hate speaking at all," she mused. The playful words seemed to appease his mood slightly. And thus, she played upon his soothed ego. Her hand reached over to the nightstand and seized the PADD. A few graceful clicks and the authorization screen came to view. "And after all we've been through, would you really deny me this one last pleasure?" She held the PADD dangling between them. "It would leave me in such a sour mood... you wouldn't be here to console me... and my father would be completely puzzled by my demeanor."
An annoyed huff left his lips, and Auri continued. "I do believe he's scheduled to have dinner with the new Gul when he arrives. Oh and uh... what's his name... Legate Mer-"
The Cardassian quickly reached for the PADD and granted her the authorization. He glared at Auri. "It's done," he said. Though, he was already perching himself on his elbow. "Though, I hope that wasn't really going to be the last pleasure I could give you." Auri bit her lower lip as the Gul began to roll closer to her. It was at that moment that a chime sounded, causing him to freeze instantly.
//"Doctor Viaen, there's a medical emergency. Your presence is required in the clinic."//
"Excuse me?" Auri replied aloud. "Required?" The venom in the way she uttered the word had been completely understood.
//"I'm sorry, Madam Envoy. I meant... requested."//
"I'll be there shortly," she replied satisfied with the amendment. "Viaen, out." Her eyes then shifted to the Gul, and the disappoint was easily evident on his face. She couldn't help but take some satisfaction in his tortured state.
"I suppose you're leaving now," he said defeated.
"I said shortly," she corrected him. Her hand lifted and her finger curled to beckoned him closer. He rolled closer, peeling the smooth sheet away that had been covering her. "So you're going to have to be quick about it." As he moved to mount her once more, her foot planted itself against the mattress blocking his move. Looking perplexed, his eyes met hers. "That's not exactly what I had in mind." It took only a moment for him to comprehend her meaning, and he quickly complied by sliding to the foot of the bed. She was certain that no one else in the quadrant had ever given a better foot massage.
