The Tolari Tower was impressive, even to a man who had seen a lot over his lifetime. Inside were residences, business, and just about anything one needed while on holiday to the most famous planet in the galaxy. Face flushed, Victor emerged through a pair of sliding opaque glass doors, a smile on his face and a skip in his step that hadn't been seen in a very long time. His credits had taken a hit, but he didn't really care.
Now, he was headed to the top, where a bar awaited his fiery thirst. As the lift settled into place, the doors opened, exposing him once again to the open air of Risa. He wondered briefly if the locals tired of the same climate day after day, if that was why they had to pursue enhanced excitement. Shrugging away the question, he bellied up to the extravagant, shiny black opalescent bar.
As the bartender approached him, Victor's smile grew. "Shit-faced drunk," the security officer said. "The fastest way possible." Apparently, the Earth phrase translated properly, probably due to the number of Starfleet vessels that frequented the planet. Reaching into his pocket, he withdrew a data chip and handed it to the bartender. "Pour something for yourself," he added while the man inserted the chip for inspection.
"Thank you, Sir," the man replied, satisfied that the newcomers credits were good. He thought for a moment, then poured a very dark brown liquid into a glass from a tap. "This should get you started."
Carrying the glass with him and drinking as he went, Victor walked over to the edge of the chest-high barrier. The view was as incredible as advertised and Victor sighed contentedly, elbows on the barrier as his mind went back to the recreation he had just finished. He was more than a little confused as to why his mind couldn't concentrate on the woman in front of him, but instead had chosen another face. Frowning, he downed the liquid rapidly and put the glass onto a nearby table.
Scrambling, the bartender hurried over with another.
