Physical Profile (height, weight, hair color, eye color, etc.): Aeryn appears to be approximately twenty-five years of age physically, at full height she stands at 5'9''. She is 122 lbs., has chocolate brown eyes as well as dark brunette hair, and naturally sun-kissed skin. She has a beauty mark on her left chin, a small yet athletic build and, like so many races who are young and spend any amount of time on Risa, she has a tribal tattoo located on her back that glows a faint bio-luminescent blue-ish white in the dark.
Personality: Even among the El-Aurians, Ryn has always been considered somewhat of a free spirit. She was always fascinated by the nomadic part of the culture of her people, exploring and seeing new worlds, taking part in fascinating new adventures and experiences, as well as meeting new and interesting people and civilizations. However she never really had much reverence for their ways of listening. She has little interest in it and most times refuses outright, as she prefers to be more of a person of action rather than a counselor or person of reflection. This was something considered highly unusual, especially among the El-Aurians, as they were widely considered a race of "Listeners" and it is believed that this is due in part to her relatively young age.
She hasn't lost touch with what it means to be an El-Aurian completely, however, as oftentimes she can seem wise beyond her years and willing to give good advice whenever needed. but she would say that she prefers merely to live out an experience and have a story of her own to tell rather than simply listening to one. She exudes a calm yet jovial and playful presence, she tends to be truthful and honest to a fault, sometimes even considered blunt as comparable to a Betazoid, but she is fiercely loyal to her family and closest friends. It should be noted she isn't above using her knowledge or wisdom, personal skills, her intuitive senses and memory to manipulate others in order to get what she wants or have things go her way. This is also contributed to her relatively young age among her people and thought to be something she'd eventually grow out of.
Background and History: Ryn is the youngest daughter of Keira Roman and Eamon Drax. She was raised on the El-Aurian Homeworld before its subsequent destruction and the assimilation of the majority of her people by the Borg Collective. Initially she grew up in one of the capital cities of Nova Kron, Sedorah City. Her father was the Chief Surgeon at the Nova Kron Medical Guild, and very rarely had time to go off world, while her mother stayed true to their people's nomadic lifestyle and would often go off world to explore the galaxy. Her mother would often bring back strange and unique gifts from her travels and fascinate her by the stories of other places she'd been to the point that Ryn could hardly wait until she was allowed to go exploring off world on her own. Traditionally that was usually around the time of their 100th year.
This was not to be, however, as shortly before Ryn's 80th birthday her homeworld was attacked by the Borg Collective. At the time of the attack her father left her in the care of friends while he went to help those who were grievously injured during the onslaught. He was one of several billion to be assimilated by the Borg while her mother, who was off world at the time, could not be reached. Separated from her family, she was on one of very few escape ships that managed to get off planet unscathed. What remained of her people scattered across the galaxy, and eventually she would spend the next twenty or so years travelling in space among other refugees. Eventually she arrived and settled on Risa where she opted to stay, as a result of her weariness from being cooped up in the small vessel for so long, but also due to the stories her mother would tell her about her experiences on the planet itself. Instead of going with the remaining refugees to rendezvous with Federation starships that would escort them to Earth.
Her motive was to try and contact her mother or siblings while she was there and staying in one spot. She knew her mother frequented the planet often, and if Ryn were to have any chance of meeting her again this was it. That decision not to keep going with the other refugees proved to her benefit as she later heard rumor that at least one of the Whorfin-Class vessels, the SS Robert Fox, were badly damaged while transporting said refugees. She lived on Risa for the next eighty years or so, working odd jobs to earn a living, learning and picking up many useful skills, all while hoping to somehow hear word from any of her family. In time she had given up hope of finding her family after hearing no word of their survival for decades, especially when the nomadic bug began to once again bite. Taking the money she had saved up, she bought herself passage on a cargo ship to Betazed, where she would live for a little while. She even fell in love with a Betazoid male and they were together for a time, but they never became each other's "Imzadi". Eventually they broke apart amicably as the nomadic blood in her veins began to call once more, and her Betazoid friend was committed to a genetic bonding union.
Spending the next fifteen or so years travelling from different planets along the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, eventually Ryn heard rumors of an El-Aurian seeking others of her kind. As chance would have it that El-Aurian turned out to be her mother, Keira. They reunited at long last on Deep Space 9, and while Ryn was happy to have found her mother again after so long, Keira recognized that look in her eyes that said she'd rather be out among the stars exploring again. As they caught up Keira told her daughter about her short time on an exploratory Federation starship, called the Talon. This intrigued Ryn despite Keira's efforts to warn her of the dangers of exploratory space travel alone in uncharted and unknown space, especially while on a Federation ship. Naturally, being quite young still by El-Aurian standards, Ryn refused to listen to the advice given and insisted on traveling with the vessel. She made the transparent excuse that she wanted to aid in the search for more of her people, but in truth the idea of being on an exploratory starship fascinated her.
Keira strictly forbade this as it was now more important than ever they stick together, try to find what remained of their people and family, and eventually try to replenish their numbers. Undeterred by her mother's warnings and commands, Ryn defied the wishes of her mother and met with Captain Monroe the next time they docked at Deep Space 9. She asked the Captain to allow her to board the vessel and join in their journey as a civilian under the pretense of searching the Gamma Quadrant for more El-Aurians. Ryn left to set off on a journey of discovery all her own. She later left her mother a subspace message apologizing for the deception, but insisted the Talon was exactly where she needed to be.

Sample Roleplay: The soft chime of a gong reverberated through the the simulated environment of an Asian Palace Garden on Holodeck 3. Soft, melodic music was playing in the background creating an atmosphere of soothingly calm reflection. At least that was what it as meant to do as Ryn jogged in from outside the garden's entrance, having finished her twentieth lap up and down the palace steps. After several minutes she was followed in by a rather fatigued and severely out of breath Bolian. His naturally blue cheeks were flushed a deep hue of purple as he panted his way over to her, barely able to stand. He was drenched in sweat and it completely soaked through his gym clothes. Ryn herself was just getting her second wind, and as a personal trainer it was her job to push her clients beyond their perceived limits, but considering the condition of her newest client she thought it best they had a cool down period before they went on to the next exercise.
"This... This isn't fair. You said we would only do twenty laps up the castle steps at a steady pace." Ensign Brouhm complained in between pants.
"That was twenty laps, Ensign." Ryn said, stretching her legs by bringing up each knee to her chest one at a time.
"That.. That's not possible. We must have ran up almost twice the steps of last week." he panted.
"Yes, that's because I doubled the size of the castle simulation. Same castle, just more steps to reach the top of this mountain." she said bluntly, before finishing her stretches and taking a sip of water from her canteen. When Ensign Brouhm gave her a horrified look, she returned his expression with a wink and a smirk.
"You're trying to kill me!" he accused.
Ryn sighed, "No, Ensign, I'm trying to help you by pushing you beyond your limits. You're never going to get any progress if you become complacent in your physical training. And don't think I haven't noticed that paunch you've started to develop on your midsection." she replied, emphasizing her point by giving him a little poke in his side. "That is why you're commanding officer had ordered you to start PT in the first place, since you failed your last physical. You know Starfleet demands officers to be physically fit for duty within certain parameters." she finished.
Ensign Brouhm looked embarrassed, "I know, I just -" he started to say before Ryn cut him off.
"Listen, Ensign. Ktarian Chocolate Puff is my absolute favorite too. No one is saying you have to give it up, quite the opposite, eating is encouraged so long as you know your limits and you eat healthier alternatives. The occasional treat is okay, so long as you don't overdo it. One of the misconceptions of working out is that one must strictly diet and exercise. On the contrary, most diets worth their name would say you must eat several times a day to increase your metabolic rate to help you lose weight faster. Eat and train, don't just diet and exercise, and since Bolian metabolisms and dietary habits are similar to humans this works out for you." she explained to him.
"So I can -" he started to say.
"Know your limits, Ensign, and whatever you take in you'll have to burn off. Now, why don't you get out your mat, and we'll finish today's session with a yoga cool down." she offered.
"Fine. But you're not going to increase the castle steps again tomorrow, are you?" he asked her, and to his relief Ryn shook her head.
"Nope, tomorrow we're going to increase gravity by fifty percent." she said, winking again when he changed an even deeper shade of purple and looked as though he were about to cry.
