Lt. Commander Henri Braddock moved quickly and purposefully through the corridors. Her eyes fell upon the door to Main Engineering. Of course as they parted, Henri found herself in the bedroom of someone's quarters. It certainly made her pause. Turning around, she didn't see the corridor that she had been walking in but the head. Her brow furrowed clearly confused by what had just happened. "What the...?" she began to muse.
Moving forward, she noticed a tunic sprawled across the foot of the bed. She lifted it into her arms. It was Starfleet issue... red, and on the color were three full pips. Braddock had made no secret of her own ambitions, but this was hardly meant for her. It was too big... a man's shirt. That certainly helped to narrow down her location.
"Computer, are these Commander Sula's quarters?" she asked aloud.
"Affirmative," the computer replied.
While her location was known, the means of how she came to be there was another matter. She hadn't recalled being transported, and she was hoping that she hadn't just wondered through another subspace rift. She needed to get out of here, quickly. "Where is Commander Sula?"
"Commander Sula is presently in the Mess Hall."
Stepping out of the bedroom, she quickly made her way to the living room and saw that someone else was there. Though when she left the room, she realized that she wasn't the only person in Sula's quarters. "Doctor Ericson?" she asked.
Perhaps it was post-traumatic stress disorder from having known Taylor Warren, but she quickly began to wonder what sort of conclusions Sig may jump to after having seen Henri emerge from Jeven's bedroom. In fact, besides the tunic, she hadn't paid much attention to anything else for wanting to leave so quickly and find out how she'd gotten there. Still, she could spare a few words to explain and possibly salvage her reputation. While she didn't think Sig was the gossiping sort, it couldn't hurt to be safe rather than sorry.
"I... I was just...," she began, but soon found herself cut off as a voice began to speak in her head.
"You have all been found guilty and have been placed in your final locations for your pathetic existence. Out of respect for my Father, I will allow you to choose the manner of your death, which will be carried out by those sharing your location. Failure to comply will result in all those whom you love to perish. You have twenty-four hours."
A long sigh left Henri's lips as she shook her head slightly. The weight of the threat was quite prevalent. Her own thoughts went to her parents. They were light years away. Surely, they couldn't carry out such a threat on the scale that was promised. Of course, that could depend on who was issuing the threat. Her mind began to consider who else could be a more likely target. Yet, then her eyes fell on Sig once more. He was in a much more unique position than Henri, and she had to wonder just how heavily those words had resonated with him. After all, he was a father.
Suddenly, the intruder alert began to feel the room. It was a welcome distraction and call to action. She nodded at Sig as she turned towards the door. Clearly, the threat that had been levied against them could wait. As the doors parted, Henri marched through them, but quickly found herself stepping once again out of the bedroom and into the living area of the quarters. "What the hell?" She looked behind her to see the bedroom once more. Her eyes turned towards the door, which was just whooshing shut.
A long sigh left her lips as she looked at Sig once more. "I'm going to guess that you didn't come here voluntarily, did you Doctor?" she asked, already feeling that she knew the answer. "I'm starting to think we won't be able to leave voluntarily either."
