Physical Profile (height, weight, hair color, eye color, etc.): ALL ARE
MANDATORY. (Height below 6'1, please.)
T'selis is around 5'5, a medium height at least. She weighs around 104 pounds. Pale skin, dark hair appearing black, blue eyes.
Personality:
T'selis is, like most Vulcans, very cool and nonchalant, so that to her personality there is not much to name. She does have a few quirks, though: a tendency of sarcasm or snarky remarks, an occasional raise of the eyebrow when something has vaguely surprised or puzzled her, and an innocence that most Vulcans do not seem to possess. While the tendency of the species would be utter refusal of any acknowledgement, T'selis is more naturally this way, though of course to an extreme because of how she was raised. In her early years she was often criticized for her expression, for it would always seem full and have some sort of emotion peeking through; instead this was how her face was naturally built, though the innocence in her look does match her own.
Background and History:
T'selis was one among many siblings, second to youngest. Including her, their family totaled to eleven. Her father was a very strict (abnormally strict for a Vulcan) lay man who worked in the markets, since he found it difficult to make money in his life, and it was one of the few careers he could receive. He thought that his daughter would more easily fall out of the way of Vulcan life because of her beauty, and that it was necessary he be far more firm with her than the rest of her siblings.
This did indeed teach T'selis to be more hardened and cold, having to grow up early because of the demanding and severe behavior of her father.
Her mother on the other hand was more nurturing, but no means in the same way as a human would be: she taught her the ways of Vulcan meditation and calming exercises (since her unusual tendency to tap into emotion prevented her from being in a state well enough to preform mind melds and the like, and then afterwards once she had gained control she chose not to learn or execute such abilities), and when she sensed T'selis beginning to grow frustrated with her father's teachings, she would take her aside and calm her very gently, almost uncharacteristically gently for a Vulcan; for Vulcan mothers had more leeway with their children, being able to get away with certain affectionate gestures without compromising any values in the process.
Besides the lessons in controlling emotions, her father also taught her many things he had
studied about engineering and the logic that was involved in it, since he had first aspired to be an engineer most of his life, but the plans had backfired and he was left to fend for himself and take care of his family as best he could with what he could get. So well-versed was T'selis in the realm of engineering and mechanics that when she was enrolled into Starfleet Academy, she was placed in one of the more advanced classes. Unfortunately her emotions were still not very well-controlled and after a teacher criticized her for her poor job on several assignments (because of her education he had expected much better, and she wasn't taking the work very seriously), T'selis blew up much to the shock and dismay of her colleagues, and it set her back for a while.
She had to work extra hard to regain her previous reputation and enough status to be worthy enough to achieve the career she aspired to, mostly for the sake of her father and redeeming him. She also began to take her values as Vulcan very seriously and strived to get her emotions under control, in order to never disgrace her family again (for her family was very disappointed in her after her incident). Soon she reclaimed herself as a knowledgeable student in engineering, and she was sent to the USS Talon as word was sent of her achievements.

T'selis took a breath, more in a calculation than anything else, finding that her task at hand would be more difficult than she had expected.
One of the engineers was having trouble accessing the basic statistic and analysis systems, so much so that it was almost hopeless to get them back on track. While she wondered how he had even gotten this far, she said very bluntly,
“Open the main control panel.”
He selected the note file for taking heed of any activities, unusual things, or just basic run-throughs and analog surveys.
“No,”
She murmured coolly,
“We are not trying to record any business that we can’t seem to begin yet.”
Lifting an eyebrow she pointed matter-of-factly at the obvious toggle upon the screen, and she observed as the engineer wiped sweat from his brow and finally pressed the button she was directing him to.
“Now enter the access protocol.”
He looked up at her warily, as if some statement was on the edge of his tongue but he hesitated to speak it aloud for fear of being knocked unconscious Vulcan-style.
“State your concern,”
She voiced, already knowing what he would say.
The engineer gulped and whispered,
“I… I mean… I don’t exactly…” he stretched out the last word in his humiliation and looked over to the side, not wanting to meet her cold eyes, “...know how…”
T’selis clasped her hands behind her, a seemingly natural gesture, but for her an action of preventing the engineer any subsequent injury.
She turned her gaze to the engineer and seemed to stare right into him, and his eyes widened.
“Yes, I see.”
She stated, and then continued to look at him for a very uncomfortable - that is, for the engineer - amount of time. Her face and her gaze remained emotionless, yet at the very same time piercing, and the engineer was just about terrified for his life.
Then once she had fully communicated to him in her long stare her true regard for the engineer, she pressed in the access code herself and performed every protocol, basically doing his job for him, but only as a means for him to finally learn through observance what he should have known when he was five.
