Everyone enjoyed a good exciting dream, but sometimes the most relaxing were simply that, peaceful and uneventful. Laying on a lush green hill, staring up at the bright blue sky and fluffy clouds. Or perhaps kicking back in a lawn-chair at night gazing up at the stars that twinkled so invitingly so you would blink and be transported right there to explore a new exotic splendour of nature and people.
Or perhaps, a dream of laying in your soft warm bed.
Except this bed didn't seem quite right. There was warmth but only from the pillow which felt lumpy yet soft, but also firm. Now that he thought about it, the bed itself just felt like it was full of grooves and ridges. Why would anyone dream of an uncomfortable bed?
And then there was the strange almost-weightless rocking he felt...
Robin opened his eyes slowly, seeing only darkness except for the tiniest but strong ray of light from above. He groaned, sitting up to look around the dark whatever this place was. The movement seemed to upset exactly whatever he was because he was suddenly overwhelmed by a plummeting stomach as the surface around him fell before seemingly lifting up.
"What the hell...?" Robin muttered, heart now racing a mile a minute, afraid to do anything, even blink. Slowly, he turned his head, the only thing that seemed obvious was that he was in a very tiny room, like a big cupboard. Soon his eyes started to adapt to the low light and Robin recognised the markings on the bulkhead, the panel with an insignia and above him were doors!
It was a turbolift!
But how had he ended up here? Had his apartment somehow been destroyed? Robin cautiously raised a hand to his temple, rubbing it slowly. The last thing he remembered was turning in for the night. The strong but thin beam of light shooting through a cracked hole in the doors seemed to suggest it was day.
Had he been kidnapped? That didn't seem very likely, especially on Earth.
It was then that he was reminded by the 'warmth' behind him and Robin stiffened from realisation, he slowly turned to see that it was a person! It was too dark to truly see if it was a man or woman, he just knew it was someone! He cleared his throat.
"Hello?" Robin asked before shifting his weight in an attempt to push the person awake... unless they were... but he didn't have a chance to finish that sentence as the deep falling sensation took over once more, this time further than before and for a brief moment the beam of light was blocked and a large stream of water fell into the lift!
Robin screamed and flailed, his legs frantically scrambling to stand up and when he did, his head bounded right into the bulkhead. He yelled again, this time in pain as he crumbled back down onto the 'ground' on top of the poor person and waking them up, if they weren't already stirring to sudden violent rocking of the floating tincan.
