Personality: Hannah is surprisingly an ambitious and disciplined woman, perhaps not to how most would expect but her drive is certainly there in everything she does or is about. She knows what she wants in life and she's not afraid to get it either. She's down to earth and methodical, preferring practical methods and uses. She's a fiercely independent , responsible and a persistent individual. She likes to be sure every option available has been explored before giving up on anything. She's hard working and patient but is often careful with whatever she is doing at the time and can appear to be rather reserved. She's not going to say what her opinion is straight away, and she is prone being pessimistic and sometimes fatalistic too.
Background and History: Hannah's family had moved from Liverpool and Hannah was born a year later in Versailles. Her childhood was a happy one despite being the only child of the family. She did have an older brother once, but he had died before she was born and could not relate any grief because she had not known him. As she grew older she came to bear a strong liking for anything relating to history of military fares, such as strategy and weapons. She understand that weapons could be both law-breakers and peace-makers. She learnt everything she could and even offered finer strategy plans for those events which had failed when asked by teachers.
French is her mother tongue but is fluent in English as well, but retains a strong accent. As soon as she felt she was ready, she left France and travelled to San Francisco to learn more about Starfleet despite what she read, watched and listened to. She preferring seeing it for herself, being a lonely child increased her sense of not wanting to be caught in a trap, so she evolved to being confident and independent to help her with her own insecurities. After discovering more, she decided to join up and she did well in her classes, which mostly consisted of Weapon Engineering and other Tactical related subjects necessary for her to be what she wanted to be.
Her methodical manner of working was greatly appreciated both by her co-academics and by colleagues in later life. She was not willing to go a route until all possibilities were explored. It was not long before she graduated and was assigned to serve on a ship, one coincidentally Sig Ericson was serving on as well. Despite her methodical manner, she did receive a few injuries here and there which required medical attention. They grew acquainted and eventually it led to something more. More to the extent that Ericson proposed.
Soon after however, she was in a shuttle when an accident occurred. She was severely injured, more so mentally than physically. Without Sig's help, she certainly would not have survived. However, she slipped into a coma for several years. By the time she came to, she was already encroaching her mid twenties. She had no memory prior to the accident, nor of the accident itself. She didn't know who Sig was, had memories she couldn't place to a rational explanation and she felt generally quite lost. She took a year to recover fully or get her mind to a working function she could live with, but still does not remember Sig or their relationship, though her lost memories hint at things. She's learned to ignore them for the meantime just so that she can function.
She returned to Starfleet and had to go back into the Academy to go over what she had done before. Some of it she recalled easily, but others she definitely had to relearn. She was in her late twenties by the time Starfleet deemed her worthy to serve again. She served on a few ships on short time stays of a few years each before being transferred to the Peregrin, her skills ultimately useful to her armoury staff.

“Êtes-vous heureux?” her mother said over the feed, and Hannah sighed. She knew her mother and father, her long term memories had not been as badly affected as her short term had been, which was something of a relief. Without their support, it would have taken her longer to get better again. But still, her mother Gina, was still rather protective. Hannah was understanding of that, she was their only child and they had lost one already.
She smiled, “It's a fine position, Ma, I am happy and delighted to go there. I want to go out the and do something meaningful, I've lost so much already mum,” she replied, if a little ruefully. She had lost a few years to what had caused her coma. It was also perfectly normal for her mother to speak in French and for Hannah to respond in English, and sometimes vice versa. It had been a game they play when she was young to help her with the languages and they never dropped it. She glanced to her father who had not said much, but Hannah knew when he was concerned. His eyes always narrowed slightly and his lips thin. “Really, I am,” she smiled tucking black hair behind her ear, her eyes expressive.
Her father nodded, “Good, we want you to be happy, and safe. You will keep in touch,” it was more a statement than a word of hopeful question. She nodded and smiled, “Oui, je le ferai,” and they looked reassured.
“So where are you now,” Gina asked peering behind Hannah's shoulder curious to see what the room was like. Gina had never served with Starfleet, but her father, Oscar, had done though was since retired due to his health, though he was still contacted for advice here and there.
“I'm still on the station but I'll be taking over my things later. The atmosphere in this place is amazing,” she grinned.
