Having had a rather uncomfortable encounter with Georgia, Hunter went back to his quarters. There wasn't much else for him to do, since Sig had told him not to return to duty for 24 hours. He had intended to go right to sleep after leaving sickbay, but was glad he had stumbled across Ava in the holodeck. "Next time," he thought, "I'm picking the program."
Just as it had done earlier, the light on his desk console was blinking, indicating a message. "What," he grumbled, "another missive to Senneh?" It still stung, no matter how much Georgia apologized. The words were too fresh in his mind to overlook. Pulling up the message, he was relieved to to see it was supposed to go to him.
Pip,
Meet me at holodeck four half an hour after your shift ends. Dress for a summer's afternoon.
I've something to show you. No falling over, I promise.
All my love,
G x
"Summer's afternoon?" He laughed out loud. "What does one wear to a summer's afternoon?" Placing a hand to his chin, he laughed again, "certainly not a full beard."
Padding into the bathroom, he looked at himself in the mirror. "I look like my dad," he grunted. He disrobed, tossing the clothing out the door of the bathroom, then stepped into the sonic shower. Ten fun-filled minutes later, he emerged, his cheeks a bit rosy as he began his shave. He hummed a jaunty tune as he got rid of the accelerated hair growth, then stared at his hair. "I kind of like it long," he said as he ran a hand through it. Striking a pirate pose, he flipped his head side to side, then nodded.
Still naked, he sat down at his desk and sent a message back to Georgia.
Georgie,
Sounds like fun. Just make sure there are no dragons.
Hunter
The sound of his bare skin on the leather chair as he stood up made him giggle. "I need a nap," he said. He took off at a run, then leaped into bed, the mattress support protesting loudly. Within seconds, he was asleep.
