The fact that Reesa had reacted to him so positively was also what made it hard to turn away, she wanted something and he was denying her such a thing. When he told her his hesitation, he hadn't expected this. Maybe a little but not this but it all made sense. Her first time? Admittedly Robin found that difficult to believe but why would she lie about that? It made sense. But it also made it worse, the first time... so many things clung to the first of anything, something you didn't forget. Robin didn't want this to be an unhappy memory for her.
When she finally halted her legs, she turned to him in all the glory that he had just a second ago appreciated so much, ready to share a great pleasure. Robin looked to her eyes, young and frightful. Breathing deeply, he stood up and crossed the distance between them but made sure not as to allow themselves to touch.
"Reena, you have nothing to apologize for," Robin spoke firmly, he wanted her to understand this, understand that the fault was his own and that she shouldn't blame herself for something so normal and natural. "Nothing." He repeated more softly.
"I didn't realize this... your first, I'm sorry I spoiled it." Robin's eyes sang a pleading for forgiveness. In his eyes the fault was entirely his own, as usual and he had ruined a very great experience. Robin knew that a large part of his hesitation was actually of a past experience with a fellow pilot. It was a long time ago, it had erupted some issues, problems he didn't want to see repeated and it just made it all the worse with his current position.
"I just need time to think about this... I've made a mistake before." Robin hoped that Reesa would understand what he meant, the need for time, not a need to say no. Robin hands found Reesa's arms, he smiled weakly at her.
"I find it hard that no one has ever..." Robin searched for the right word, well he could simply say what she said, in her words but a playfulness pulled at him despite the moment. "lusted for you." He looked down purposely at her body, and regretted it as he felt a roar from within him, a whisper to embrace her again and completing what he had started.
