"Yes mother."
As Gillian leaned into her, Morgan mulled over all the woman had gone through recently. Outwardly, she had never let on that anything had happened. She had been the perfect Starfleet officer, but Morgan was a bit distressed that she hadn't sought any counselling.
"Ma'am. There is another of their crew in a room over there."
Morgan's eyebrows raised, because, just as Gillian pointed out the building, Kane and Herb walked right into it as if they knew exactly where they were going.
"But the more interesting thing is the machinery below our feet. There are large caverns or underground buildings similar to bunkers below us. I couldn't locate an entrance from where we were but the two lifesigns I saw down there were Aescan."
Automatically, Morgan looked down. It was an instinctive action, not one supported by logic. She laughed at herself.
"The other thing is hidden in the bottom of that well is plumbing. The water filtration must be going on somewhere underground. But these people here aren't capable of that kind of technology. It's just too strange."
There was no way Gillian could have discovered all of this without some form of technology, which Julian had banned from this mission. However, that would be a discussion for later. Right now, they needed to deal with what they knew.
Two very happy Aescan's fairly exploded out of the building Kane had entered and they brushed past the two redheads. Soon, they were inside one of the tents. Morgan looked off between the tents. The festival area was deserted. "Now's our chance," she said to Gillian. "See if you can find an entrance."
