"We should know pretty soon whether of not it fertilizes. And from what I understand, Orion women don't have the same issues with implantation that human women do."
"Maybe they better put that in the Starfleet Handbook," Hunter muttered.
"Yeah the morning of the Away Team mission there were a few Ensigns who were practically drooling over me from across the room. One of them told Telsia that he doubted that I was really Orion, and that he wanted a closer look for himself. Telsia told him that I would meet him in my quarters, but gave him the Chief Counselor's room number."
"I'm sure she loved that," he laughed. He'd have to ask Sig about that later, since the CMO and the Chief Counselor spoke often.
"I guess you can properly educate Ensign Pierce later."
"Knowing Morgan, he probably got an interesting education."
"I understand you have work to do. I should probably take this tricorder back to Sig and go get some sleep. That visit to the planet was far more strenuous than I'd imagined it would be."
"Can't imagine why," he grinned. He had sore muscles where he hadn't had sore muscles in a long time.
"See ya later, handsome."
After nodding at her, he followed her out and glared at the techs who were making noises from their stations.
"But... I thought we had something special?"
"Can we get some work done now," Hunter said to the group. They just laughed and watched Emmarie walk across the room as if her backside had a string attached to their heads. Hunter rolled his eyes and sat back down at his console. He stared at the goo, then tapped on his combadge. "Lieutenant Hunter to Lieutenant Vedan. When you have a moment, can you come to the Science Lab?" He wanted Quin's analysis of the goo from a chemical standpoint. Not that he couldn't do it himself, but it never hurt to get a second opinion.
