It was probably the most idiotic suggestion Dakbar had ever heard. Rychel was talking to Stetson, or more correctly, Stetson was drilling Rychel. How was he supposed to rest? He hadn't rested since before their minds were entwined and his secret revealed. When he closed his eyes, his mind kept racing, dissecting every moment he had lost, every word his "other" self had said, every action, every motive. He had hurt Rychel, Grace, and had-
Dakbar shook his head in anger at the last thought and threw himself back against the wall so that he was sitting all the way to the back of the bench. His head hit pretty hard, but it didn't phase him. Haywood glanced up once again, then went back to his work.
Staring straight ahead, he barely blinked as he waited until, finally, the door opened and Rychel reappeared. Stetson was nowhere to be seen. She stopped in front of the field and he slowly met her gaze, expecting her to say something, to shout, release the anger generated from what was probably a shocking revelation. It never came. Instead, she just looked at him. The silence was worse than any words she could have chosen and it clawed at his soul. He wanted to reach out, drag her bodily to him, and force her to speak.
"Say something," he finally snarled. He propelled himself off of the bench until he was only inches from her, separated by a thin veil of energy.
