"I ate on Peleb. Some fruit and this fizzy drink thing, But I've mostly been eating out of the replicator." Cobus answered his question about food.
Luis nodded but inwardly he was shuttering at the thought. Replicator food, for the most part, wasn't bad. The food was nutritionally sound and could easily support life and, for the many at least, the food tasted fairly well, but Luis found some things completely distasteful for his discerning tongue, such as jalapeno peppers. They looked like jalapeno peppers, they felt like jalapeno peppers, they even smelled like jalapeno peppers, but the taste left a great deal to be desired.
"Should I try to review some of the readings initially took when the away team went aboard the Y'angdar ship? ...it's possible that there could be some element...in their natural environment that could possibly have this effect on the Commander?"
It was as though Grace reached into his head and pulled out his thoughts concerning the Y'angdars. Apparently the human body could cope fairly well with the alien's touch but he was uncertain if Trills were able to cope in the same manner.
"Yes please, if you would," he answered Grace. "There has to be something that had set off Commander Rok's immune systems in order to deal with ...," Luis's thoughts were interrupted by an alert by the biobed. That was never good. Looking up at the readings it was clearly indicated that the temperature of Cobus' symbiont was rising.
"Commander Rok, how are you feeling, sir? Or rather how is your symbiot feeling?" he asked him. How Cobus replied could tell him even more of what might be going on.
