It was a strange sight to behold, he had to admit. Another wormhole, one that looked almost exactly like the Celestial Temple, however he would never give the Cardassians the pleasure of thinking they had another entrance to said Temple. No, this was just an impostor, a fake, maybe even an old home that they gave up before Bajor. Who knew. All he knew was that this wormhole, that also seemed to open regularly, was just another thing. Another space anomaly. Something that he really didn't care too much for.
And yet.. the doctor said to get out of his room, and he found himself in the forward bar lounge, seated by the window, staring out at the wormhole. A tall glass of just water sat near him. His third one, to be honest. In his hand held a PADD, which was filled with data on planets and star systems that the Talon had encountered on its short mission. More PADDs sat on the table. One for Etimon, for the planet with the cyborgs, and finally Corduska. His most hated.
Tek shuddered at the thought of that godforsaken planet. But for the benefit of the Federation Academy of Science and the Interplanetary Galactic Survey Corps, he had to remain as objective as he could. He might be on light duty, and pretty much removed from service, but he still had his personal studies to attend to. The report that he was supposed to give as part of his research thesis. A survey and in depth study of the Gamma planets and systems. The Talon was mapping out uncharted space, and Nevir was at the front of it.
The wormhole opened up once again, and Tek stopped his work to watch. The view was perfect except for the Cardassian ships around it. Tek shook his head and went down to the PADD, filling out more of his report in the solitude quiet of the forward lounge.
