For once, Henri was going to actually (voluntarily) indulge in shore leave. It had been a long week and quite frankly, it was time to let her hair down. Everything that had happened was still a bit raw. Yet, she knew better than to be crippled by shock. And she wasn't about to let the sacrifices that had been made be in vain. So, she made the pledge to enjoy herself. To take a few risks this time. And to stay away from alcohol. Her last trip to Risa with Tahp and Tek... while blurry was still a little too vivid for her tastes.
She figured she would ease into the actual fun. She had put herself on one of the last rotations down to the planet. Yet, now that it was her turn, she was ready for some fun. She had already shed her uniform on the ship. And right now strolled through the streets of the Pelebian city in a bikini, with a sheer sarong wrapped around her waist. She glanced to her side, to the woman that had agreed to accompany her, Crewman Vrehu Coardi. Henri felt a little guilty having asked her if she wanted to come with her. How exactly did a crewman turn down a Lieutenant commander?
It was such a contrast to what she had seen in the previous days. The Pelebians were so... alive. They were beautiful people and seemingly absent of any cares. She managed to spare a thought of Victor. He suspected that he would be downright miserable in a place like this, but hoped he'd found a way to enjoy himself. And hopefully, Tahp was staying away from any sort of alcohol... or bananas.
"This place is beautiful," Henri said as her eyes continued to wonder about. "Clearly, I made a mistake not coming down last time." As they reached the lobby of the compound, Henri swallowed and then glanced back at Coardi. "I feel like I owe you an apology. It wasn't my intention to corner you into accompanying me. If you have friends that you wanted to meet up with instead...."
Her voice fell silent as they were approached by a large Pelebian that held out a card to each of them. She examined it and found it to be a menu of sorts. "I... I'm sorry, I'm not really sure what to ask for," Henri admitted. "What's the most popular treatment?" Surely, that had to be the safest right? She glanced over at Coardi, wondering what the Bajoran was thinking.
