"It... suits you. Quite a bit actually. Maybe something to wear for the party tomorrow?"
Quite the flatterer, this guy was turning out to be and Siobhan couldn't help but grin a little at the slight stammer. He was obviously still a little embarrassed at what had just occured, but then again she was still rather red faced herself. She was glad that he liked it, perhaps a little too much so, and she wondered what Chance would have thought. It was the little things that made her miss him so much but he would have wanted her to move on right? She often felt more than a little guilty about little things such as laughing and smiling but there was little point in going through the rest of her life with a cloud hanging over her head.
"Think I owe you a little something for what happened earlier."
This time her jaw dropped a little as she stared at the latinum in his hand. It took a couple of seconds for her to formualte a reply.
"Oh no, I really don't need that! It was my fault anyway for not double checking, in fact the first thing I'm going to do when I leave is call my colleagues in engineering up here. In fact, when I'm back on duty and have my tools I'll check on it personally!"
It was then that Siobhan realised she was babbling and that Eddy wasn't going to take no for an answer. She uttered her thanks as she reluctantly accepted the latinum slips. She meant what she had said though and would definatley be making sure that no-one else suffered the same embarassing debacle.
“This would look good on her.”
Laughing a little at the comment about Zaynah hopefully not finding out, another voice added to the conversation and she turned to see that the store owner had exited the other changing area. Noticing the dress in her hand, she approached and ran her hand through the luxurious fabric. It felt like some kind of silk but she couldn't place it's exact origin. A couple of oohs and ahhs later, Siobhan gave her answer.
"Wow, it feels really nice! Silk right? I love the colour but I don't know if it's maybe a little too 'glam'." Engineers by trade weren't the most glamourous of people, after all, but that certainly didn't mean that they couldn't doll up on occasion. She sighed as she considered it. "It would be nice for the party though."
