Arella hummed as she prepared to open her shop for the first time. She'd seen the passersby as they admired the fine clothing in her windows. Her three morning employees were busily putting away the last of the packing materials and tidying up the last of the week's confusion in preparation for opening her doors.
She smiled as she walked toward the back. Her brother's influence had gotten her a prime spot near the core transit tubes at the center of the mall. She'd sewn for months to make the selection of robes, dresses, suits and jackets' she now had on display. Her latest efforts had produced an entire section of pure white ceremonial Etimonian robes.
Out of respect for their planetary neighbor she and her staff all wore white as well. She covered her hair with a white turban although a few tendrils of her dark colored tresses escaped.
Portah fruit scones and all manner of hot beverages awaited the first lucky customers. Finally she walked toward the front of the establishment and disengaged the security field opening the shop for business. Classic Etimonian music tinkled in the background. She knew her way to the tourists's heart and mind and the atmosphere of the shop was almost as important as it's wares.
She greeted the first customers with a smile as they entered and began gazing around not only at the displays of opulent and one of a kind apparel but the exquisite decoration.
"Welcome," she repeated frequently.
She knew of course that many of these people were simply curious about the Governor's sister and what his money and influence might buy. If only any of them knew him they wouldn't be so easily fooled. Anyone who had ever met Tazer would know this style was _nothing_ like him.
"Welcome," she said again.
