As the doors to the turbolift opened, Braddock pressed one final button the screen of her PADD. She thought it best to leave a written communique for Commander Richards so he'd at least be apprised of what was going on and could confer with the Captain once she finished dealing with Esohn. As she moved down the corridor she could already see the fruits of other chaos. There was a small mixture of Starfleet officers and traders lining the corridors.
As Braddock stepped up, she could see that a containment field had already been erected. Some of the security guards were already trying to usher people back to a safe distance. As she reached the field, Braddock peered at the chaos taking place on the other side of it. "Mr. Stock," she said calling to one of the Security guards. "Report."
"From what we can tell, Lieutenant," began Ensign Stock, "those are some sort of simian-avian crossbreeds that one of the merchants was trying to bring back to the Alpha Quadrant. However, they got loose on the ship, and when the ship docked...."
Henri nodded, hinting that she got the rest of the picture. "All right, let's get a biologist down to consult. If we put these down without resorting to phasers, that's the approach I want to take it." Ensign Stock nodded, and proceeded to contact Science. Braddock turned to another guard, this one a woman. "Escort those people with injuries to a nearby Cargo Bay. I don't want anyone leaving the area without being checked by a medic. Understood?" Braddock looked at the field once more. One of the simians actually flew through the air and collided with the field, delivering a loud screech in protest. Braddock tapped her comm badge once more. "Braddock to Engineering. Make sure that Jefferies Tubes in this area are sealed off from the rest of the station."
After hearing the confirmation, all Braddock could do was wait. She only hoped that the situation could be dealt with quickly and quietly. And hopefully, it had been contained before any of those creatures had gotten loose. She proceeded to do a quick count from what she could see. "Stock? How many of those things were there originally? I'm counting seven." However, as she turned to look at the ensign, she could tell from the look on his face that he had seen more. She could only hope that those that were missing had taken refuge on the ship they had originally escaped from. "Scan the area... and find those monkeys."
