"Oh. Oh, oh, oh, okay."
Nevir turned his head, offering a semi-smirk. "You're frazzled. You've performed hundred of directed signal tests on systems, both simulated and real. Think back to that, you've got this." he said, though he wasn't sure if it was those words, of her sudden surge of persona that got her to start expertly controlling the relays and the signal feed itself.
"Got it. Oh my gosh, we got it. We got them both!"
Nevir smiled, and nodded. "Confirmed... sending the sensor deactivation command... probe has been deactivated. Open the override panel on the left side of the controls, there should be a blue isolinear chip. Move that to the lower line, and you should be able to link the two nodes together. Make it easier than trying to give two commands and keeping them both within range." he said, as he tracked the two nodes reversing course and returning to the surface.
"Miss Burke... not your usual operations panel, I know.. but I think you handled the science equipment spectacularly." he said, picking up the other PADD he had when it beeped, saying that the Atmospheric drone was on its way back.
"No. I'm the type of girl who prefers something colorful and fruity. Maybe something fancy in it to make it pretty. Today, I think I'd drink anything no matter how ugly it was."
"Hey now.. that hurts. Springwine is no Sumarian Sunrise, but it IS a colorful and sweet drink. There is a interesting thing about the Kava fruit.. the main ingrediant. The plant changes based on location and conditions. The same fruit will produce all sorts of colors and taste, from red and white, to my favorite shade, light blue. Leaves a... blue raspberry taste I think? That's Kendra springwine. If you like colorful and fruity, I think you'll like this one. Hopefully they still have some on board from when I was an officer." he said with a shrug, standing up and stretching.
"Most likely though I think I'll have myself another cry then change out of this bloody uniform for the day. What are you going to do?"
"Hopefully a cry of relief and not anger?" he said, glancing at her. He started to pick up the PADDs, almost getting lost in the breeze that picked up.
"I should probably start my report on Horisi.. and I would love to get more in depth with those core layers... but frankly, this talk of drinks has me thirsty. Plus.. it is tempting to get everything back on the shuttle, and then come back to the fields for a nap. But... I admit I'm weird... weirder than most. But I think you figured that one out already."
