Adam was grateful for the support of Diran and he leaned against him slightly. Then, suddenly, Zi was on his other side, doing the same.
"You know, if you wanted to duck out on our date you could've just said. Getting yourself kidnapped by creepy aliens was a bit overkill, if you ask me."
He blushed and was about to reply when the Captain stepped in.
“Ensign, let’s get the rest of our crew off this hell hole before we think about dates. Back to your station please.”
He cringed, not wanting to get Zi in trouble. "Sorry," he said quietly to her before Jack hurried over and began examining him. He waited nervously during the tricorder scan. What he had endured on the planet surely would have caused some major-
"Captain, the Ensign is physically healthy, as are you."
Really? Adam ran his hands over his abdomen. Robin had pounded him like a punching bag.
"We can't beam them to the Talon now, we're within the dampening field."
His shoulders slumped. All he wanted to do was get back to the ship. Physically healthy. Shaking his head, he sat back in the chair and closed his eyes, trying to quell the tremors.
"It would be helpful if you can log anything you saw while down there."
Though the comment had been directed at Dorian, Adam reached over to a console and grabbed a PADD. As he began typing, he found himself swallowing hard to keep back the tears again. Get a grip, Ensign! He held nothing back, listed every detail that he could remember, even the embarrassing aspects and the horrific ones. Every word that he could remember, every item he saw. His professors would be proud of his attention to the report, but Adam didn't want praise. He wanted these bastards to pay, and if he could help, even in the smallest way, he would. When he was finished, he submitted the report, allowing it to be available to every member of the team.
