This was total hooey if you asked her. Not that anyone was asking her at the moment, but it was still hooey all the same. Sin was ecstatic to find out that Starfleet Command approved her promotion to Assistant Science Chief aboard the USS Talon only to find out that no one seemed to have any idea where the USS Talon was at the moment.
“So I’m a theoretical ASC assuming they can figure out what happened to the ship I’ve been assigned to,” She rambled on to no one in particular as she walked into ‘Pi in the Sky’ and made a b-line straight for the bar. “Hooey, utter hooey,” she exclaimed as she hopped up into an empty barstool.
“Coming right up,” said the bartender and quickly shuffled off before she’d had the opportunity to one, give a proper order or two, discern what it was he thought she’d asked for.
Sin opened her mouth to protest, but quickly snapped it shut. She was far too focused on this delay in her schedule and the concern that Starfleet had misplaced such a fine ship as the Talon and that had she already been stationed aboard she would have likely been able to devise a solution to whatever predicament they had found themselves in to get misplaced in the first place. Her mind filled with thoughts of what mischief they could have gotten themselves into. It was a gleeful train of thought and one of the main reasons she’d wanted a position aboard such a ship. Her other assignments had been filled with plenty of new erudition but lacked excitement and adventure.
That’s what she needed more of: excitement and adventure.
About the moment she thought that, a rather tall and creaming looking beverage appeared before her. The glass was at least a foot tall and the concoction inside glowed in an odd blue hue.
“This is not the sort of excitement and adventure I meant…”
