He shook Commander Cobus Roks hand. "Jacoby Jaivyn," he said, then turning to shake Luis Diego's hand, "Jacoby Jaivyn," he said again, this time a little lighter. "We can't seem to communicate with the aliens, our hails are getting through, they just don't want to respond which might mean casualties, which is likely since they sent out a distress signal." He went and got in place on the transporter pad. "Our mission is to turn off their engines so the Talon can haul them out of whatever this anomaly is that they appear to be stuck in, understood?" He faced the transporter chief.
"Energize." He said as he and the rest of his team finally formed on the transporter pad. Suddenly he saw blue lights all around him, undoing the puzzle known as the transporter room and filling the blanks with pieces of the alien ship's bridge. He had his hand near his waist in the event that he had to pull out his phaser, after all, these aliens could have simply wished to trap unsuspected aliens and keeping them as hostages for loot—something that happened to him once.
He rested his hand, about to use his other hand to grab his scanner when he took a look around. "Oh boy." He whispered under his breath.
The bridge of this alien ship looked very wide and bright with white walls with no real corners, just very smooth and spherical and meeting at the top ceiling with a round star gazer in the centre of the ceiling. The lights appeared to be coming from inside the walls, as if the walls were a tad transparent, allowed a light source to escape onto the bridge. The only dark things in the room were the black glass-like consoles and their cozy looking chairs. The consoles were placed all along the circular room with what appeared to be holographic display screens, still above the console and operational, their chairs faced out and not in towards the centre of the room. The floors were a soft light grey mesh that would probably be really soft under the toes.
Everything looked smooth and organized until your eyes met with the fifteen or so bridge crew members unconscious on the floor and some at their consoles. "Luis," he said too the doctor, "That must be their Captain." He said nodding towards the centre chair that also had a console right next to it. The ship was like nothing Jaivyn had seen, this barely even looked like a command bridge, it looked like a science room or something, where was their big bulky display screen?
"See if he's alive. I don't want to risk waking everyone all at once, I want to know what happened here first." He pulled out his tricorder, and began to scan one of the nearby consoles when suddenly the pretty clean white light behind the walls turned a pink-red, and an alarm started sounding. Jaivyn's eyes widened as he turned around, trying to figure out what could be causing this loud and annoying sound. It couldn't be an intruder alert, if it were, it was kind of late but that would explain why they were unconscious, their computer was just being lazy.

Note: Luis is going to describe how the aliens look.
