"Asteroid collided with us, they appeared and attacked... they wanted us to evacuate the Talon, we said no, obviously."
Yolanda looked in Jonathan's direction as he continued to recount all of what had happened. The man didn't seem keen to leave out a single detail. Yolanda folded her arms in front of her chest as she listened to the recollection. Was this what Zaynah saw in Richards? His attention to detail? Perhaps he paid this much attention to detail in bed? Yolanda made a mental note to press her junior officer for details on their history. She was certainly planning to encourage the young Orion to press the XO for a dinner date at the very least.
"With the success of the exchange I believe it best if we remain to communicate further with them and find out who they are and the planet was really theirs, and how it came to be this way."
Yolanda wasn't so sure she agreed with that approach. Ultimately, it was Kealan's decision, obviously. Richards was simply stating what was in the best interests of their mission. There were times that Yolanda believed she had been married to a Klingon for too long. Because right now, she wasn't exactly concerned with the mission. These people had played off their curiosity and set the perfect trap for them. In a word, she was pissed and not really in the mood to chit-chat. Clearly a good reason she wasn't wearing red.
Of course, it seemed almost timely that Braddock would burst in with an announcement of something unexpected. "Typical," remarked the Science Officer. "Nothing gets done the easy way around here."
