Starfleet Command, Lieutenant Robin Star, and 2 more like this

"You're not one to talk.. you trying to kill me? Doesn't sound very Starfleet either!"
Alyssa’s expression fell into a particularly unstable mixture of rage, repulsion, and annoyance. His words were like the bite of a mosquito, and just as her reflex would respond against the insect, she felt the desire to squash him before he got out another word.
Responding to the desire in kind, Alyssa’s grip tightened, and pushed in against Tek’s chest. “I will not have you telling me what is and is not Starfleet. I—”
The sound of familiar footfalls approaching her turned Alyssa’s attention towards the one woman in the enter cage whom could have infuriated her more than Tek at this moment.
Though Alyssa fought the action, Kinin’s strength won out, and the klingon successfully wedged herself in between Tek and herself.
"Unhand him. You are out of line!"
“You do not give orders anymore,” Alyssa sharply replied, her eyes so close to Kinin’s she could see the subtle nuances of color within her irises.
“I do.” Tek’s hand pressed against her arm, but she took little notice of it. What was far harder to ignore was the pounding in her head, the sickening pressure that would have brought tears had she not found release in the volatility of the moment.
"Lieutenant! You are all acting precisely how they want you to act, like children!"
In a manner that was irritatingly too similar to Kinin, Alyssa looked to Jon in a way that indicated she only semi-processed his comment. Had she had the opportunity to speak, it would have been of how little she cared. The pink bastards could think whatever the damn well pleased.
Kinin was not so receptive. Her hostility towards Jonathon drew Alyssa’s away from Tek. She dropped her grip upon him, and moved to protect her superior from Kinin’s wrath. But she moved too late. Horror overtook Alyssa as Kinin flung Jonathon across the room.
“Commander!” She shouted. Had it not been for Nathan’s unsolicited restraint, she would have been on top of the Kinin the very next moment. Fortunately, for all parties involved, Nathan’s timing had been perfect to stall her momentum and disturb the instinctive rhythm she had fallen into.
"They're watching you."
Even as he spoke, she never looked to him. Her eyes were locked on one place—one person—and even Nathan couldn’t tear them away now. Kinin had just done the inevitable: betrayed them. And now it was up to Alyssa to handle the unfolding situation as she did best.
“Let them.” Alyssa’s hand reached for Nathan’s even as her eyes still watched Kinin, and released his restraint on her. “Tend to Richards.”
With a noticeably defensive posture, Alyssa cautiously stepped between Kinin and the rest of her team. “You want to fight?” Her stance became battle-ready. “Fight me.”
"I want that woman away from me... if I have to rescue Tahp by myself I will, but I'd rather give myself to the firecaves than allow her to touch me again.”
Alyssa resisted the urge to roll her eyes. That wasn’t going to be a problem, though she was tempted to toss him into his firecaves herself at this point. Leaving Tek and his comments behind, Alyssa focused herself on Kinin.
Or, at least, she tried.
There was such an internal war of biological processes waging inside her body that any attempt at focus was near futile. Her heart continued to pound throughout her body, leaving a sizable headache. Her breathing had quickened to the precipice of hyperventilation. Her eyes had dilated so far that the light that had once been anything but troublesome nearly blinded her, and her stomach began to turn from the unnatural happening to her. Alyssa knew that to fight Kinin was an uphill battle admist gale force winds even on her best day. Knowing she was ill-prepared wought considerable doubt. But she stood, because she needed to stand. For everyone standing behind her.
"You will hold your tongue, that's an order. Everyone, calm down. You are playing into their hands."
Alyssa did not move—either by standing down or against Kinin. Whether by his words or his rank, Victor had brought her pause. Even without knowing the man personally, she respected him. If he had watched and assessed as she had, why was he not cheering her on? What was she missing?
"We are a team. There is no vendetta, there is no revenge. We work together!"
Uncertainty overtook her. Instinct told her one thing—to fight and protect—while her superiors told her another. She questioned her actions, searching for an answer that would end the conflict. And there it was, on the sleeve of her arm. Alyssa slowly rotated her arm enough to take in the full view of the blood stain Tek had imprinted on her uniform. The blood she had drawn.
It was like a hand had reached into the ocean, and pulled her away from the onslaught of unrelenting tides. Reason fought its way back into Alyssa’s mind as instinct finally abdicated the helm. Alyssa looked to Tek in horror, as she finally understood what she had done.
She’d lost control. They are watching you. That’s what Nathan had told her. You are playing into their hands. Victor’s words. The way she felt, the way she acted…this wasn’t her. This was them!
Breaking from her battlestance, Alyssa turned from everyone, and pushed against the barrier. She still felt as if she were drowning. The urge to vomit intensified. She couldn’t stand anymore. Twisting around, Alyssa leaned against the wall, and slid to the ground. Her eyes remained shut. The blinding light only made it worse. She finally reached the ground and used what willpower she had left to demand control of her body again.
She felt as if she were bellowing into the vast ocean, knowing full well the ocean did not acquiesce.
It consumed.
