Jon resisted from acting when Kehlt forced his hand on Alyssa and instead focused on the suspicious and frustrating exchange between the two Klingons. Why on pinkie planet would Kinin be speaking Klingon? The rational part of his brain told him it was obvious but what surprised him was that Kehlt remained speaking in standard which made the conversation all the more curiouser.
As the two continued the only word Jon managed to catch was 'war' which did not sound so diplomatic but perhaps that was the point? It certainly seemed that way as at first Kehlt seemed hesitant to accept Kinin's words but now, he was. Kinin's actions were suspicious and she was very much aware of that which in its own strange way gave Jon relief in that she wasn't trying to backstab them.
"An old debt,"
Debt? Jon suddenly wished that Kinin had said that in Klingon for it had confused the hell out of him but she had purposely said those words in standard. Who knew Klingons could be such riddlers? That's why she's in Starfleet, he thought to himself, brain and brawn was a dangerous combination.
"Agreed."
Agreed to what?!
Suddenly Jon saw across the way the actions of one Tekison Nevir and Jon just about lost it right then and there. What was he doing? From what he had seen Tek had effectively knocked himself, leaving them with one less bit of man power to face a potential beserking Klingon. What came next was even more shocking and down right disgusting and he felt compelled to find out what happened but everything changed after Kehlt elaborated on the 'agreement'.
"I will help you."
No way.
Jon had a hard time believing that, until now the man was against anything remotely resembling coordination but with Kinin, the man wanted to help? Did they even have a choice in the matter? However it seemed that Alyssa had made the choice for them all as she moved at the speed of light to deliver a round of harsh attacks on the Klingon that Jon barely registered in time before having to come to a decision himself.
Simply put, there was no decision.
Jon ducked around Kehlt to stand behind and wrapped one strong arm around Kehlt's neck and pulled tightly, completing the lock by gripping his fist with his free hand. And with a swift kick to the back of his other kneecap, Jon allowed himself to begin falling as to bring them down to the ground for a more vulnerable position should Alyssa press her advantage but he failed to notice Alyssa's intensive stare on her Klingon colleague.
